Cruise-Ins
Anyone?? June 5, 2010
Mark your
calendars now for Saturday, June 5! Two
cruise-ins on one day! First,
join your fellow Peach Stater's at 1:00
PM at the Sonic
Drive-In in Tucker for a circa 1950s treat. Show off your
pride and joy, kick tires, talk cars and the upcoming Grand National. Grab
photo ops. Relax with friends. Enjoy lunch (typical drive-in fare). Sonic
will offer reserved parking spaces, a half-priced menu, and tables to keep
our cars clean!
If
we’re lucky… we get drive-in waitresses on roller skates!!
"Following
lunch at the Sonic we will caravan to Karen and Frank Lindauer's home in
Tucker, which is about half-way between the Sonic and the Galaxy.
There we can park in the driveway and take a tour of Karen's woodland
gardens and Frank's garage (both free!). From there we will move on
up Chamblee-Tucker Rd. to the Galaxy Diner for the cruise-in."

At 3:30
PM we will caravan a short distance up
Chamblee-Tucker Rd. to the Galaxy
Diner for their monthly mixed-makes cruise-in from 4 till 7 pm. The
cruise-in features door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, and car awards.
You can leave your car in place and have dinner at the Diner.
Galaxy features steaks and chops, Italian and Greek specialties,
seafood, and just about anything else at diner prices.
The Galaxy Diner is located at
3320 Henderson Mill Rd.

MapQuest or your favorite navigator, or find them the old-fashioned way…
with a MAP!

Because we are the “featured
attraction” at the Sonic, we will be getting some special treatment. So, we
MUST send an RSVP for the Sonic lunch to:

12, 2010: Tucker
Cruise-In: The Peach State Cadillac & LaSalle Club will be the
featured club at June’s highly regarded Tucker Cruise-In. Come and join
your friends as we line ‘em up and show ‘em what Motordom’s
Masterpiece is all about! Our hosts are the “Tucker Cruisers,” a group
of folks who love antiques, classic cruisers, hot rods, imports and
motorcycles. The group sponsors the Tucker Cruise-In every second Saturday
from April to September. There will be door prizes and great food.
Last time, we were a hit showing a line-up of about six Cadillacs. Why
don’t we make this year a bigger Peach State showing?

Main Street, Tucker, Georgia
When?
Meet at 5:00 p.m. and depart around 8:30 p.m.
How much?
Registration is $5.00 at the event. Spectators enter for free

19, 2010:
Canton Cruise-in, 2:00 PM. There will be over 700 collector cars on site.
When you get there find the Cadillac Line and park your car. It is just
North of the Red Lobster Restaurant. Then come inside and have some lunch.
Remember, park your car in line First, this place fills up FAST!
Directions: I-75 north to I-575 North to the RiverStone Parkway (4th Canton
exit) turn left onto RiverStone Pkwy at the 3rd or 4th light turn right in
to shopping center. Look for the Red Lobster we will be there.

Bugg
Collection & Athens Varsity
August
7, 2010: The George C. Bugg Collection. If you missed the
Milt Robson Collection don't miss this one. We will meet at the Athens
Varsity at Noon and caravan over to the collection. The Bugg Collection
consists of 90+ Classic Autos and tons of Memorabilia.
Afterwards we will heads back
to the Varsity for a 50's style Cruise-In! The Athens Varsity has been here
since 1963 and is way cool.
Directions: From Atlanta take
I-85 North exit on 316 to Athens. (There are no more turns to make)
Hwy. 316 turns into Hwy. 29/78.
Follow 29/78 into Athens. Look for The Varsity on your left. (1000
Broad St.)
