The Great Race 2008 New York to Paris / Starts May 30 / www.greatrace.com Classic Car Cruise Nights / May 31, 2008. The DDA and the Downtown Merchant Group will work in conjunction with the Lake City Cruisers in bringing a Classic Car Cruise show to Downtown Acworth on May 31, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. These shows allow car aficionados to display their classic cars, as well as stroll the Main Street of Acworth to observe other vehicles present.Goodguys Rod & Custom NAPA Southern Nationals / June 13 – 15 www.good-guys.com The CHVA 33rd Southeastern National Annual Car Show will be held on June 14, 2008, from 8AM -3PM, Rain or Shine, at the Cartersville High School, (Hwy 41 @ Main St.) in Cartersville, GA. The show will have three divisions for judging cars, Authentic Division, Altered Division (5 or less modifications), and a Modified Division. There will also be a separate Rat Rod and Motorcycle division. The show will be judged by trained CHVA judges on a point system. CHVA member's vehicles will not be judged at this show. In addition to the Car Show there will be a Swap Corral, Vendors, and a Model Car Show. 91 plaques and 5 Best of Show trophies will be awarded. Pre-Registration is $15 and $25 Day of the Show.
